Last week was Anti-Bullying Week at Bromsgrove and our students were given time to consider the impact that bullying can have upon students now and in the future. Students were interviewed prior to anti-bullying week by BIST TV representatives, and we all got an insight into what students and teachers perceive to be bullying in a series of short film clips. We were also treated to a lively debate as to whether the house believed in the motion “Bullying is a necessary evil” – which the opposing team won with aplomb. Students then worked on anti-bullying ‘bunting’, which will be displayed around the school, to reinforce the message that we do not tolerate bullying at Bromsgrove and also that all students have the right to be happy and safe at school. I was proud of the maturity with which students approached this potentially sensitive and difficult topic – well done!

กิจกรรมสัปดาห์การต่อต้านความรุนแรงในโรงเรียนที่เพิ่งผ่านไป นักเรียนของเราต่างก็มีเวลาในการพิจารณาว่าผลกระทบของความรุนแรงในโรงเรียนที่มีต่อเด็กนั้น สามารถส่งผลทั้งในปัจจุบันและอนาคต นักเรียนให้สัมภาษณ์ทาง BIST TV และต่างก็เข้าใจในสิ่งที่นักเรียนและครูเห็นว่าเป็นความรุนแรงผ่านการดูคลิปหนังสั้น นอกจากนี้ ยังมีการโต้วาทีที่สนุกสนานว่าแต่ละบ้านมีความคิดเห็นอย่างไรต่อเรื่อง “ความรุนแรงนั้นเป็นความชั่วร้ายที่จำเป็น” โดยที่ฝ่ายค้านเป็นผู้ชนะอย่างง่ายดาย จากนั้นนักเรียนยังช่วยกันทำ “ธงประดับ” ต่อต้านความรุนแรง ที่จะนำไปตกแต่งภายในโรงเรียนต่อไป เพื่อยืนยันว่าบรอมส์โกรฟร่วมต่อต้านการใช้ความรุนแรง นักเรียนทุกคนมีสิทธิ์ที่จะมีความสุขและปลอดภัยเมื่ออยู่ที่โรงเรียน ดิฉันภูมิใจที่นักเรียนของเรามีความเป็นผู้ใหญ่พอที่จะเข้าใจหัวข้อที่มีความละเอียดอ่อนและยากเช่นเรื่องนี้ – เก่งมากทุกคน!
