Polio Points Awards

November 14, 2014

On 14th November 2014, we welcomed again to the school d’Arcy Lunn – partner and advocate for our groundbreaking Polio Points programme, and campaigner with the Global Poverty Project and the Jump Foundation. d’Arcy is helping the school maximise the impact of the Polio Points our students are earning every day, and ensure that they are converted into vaccines on the ground.

d’Arcy led a special assembly to share his own experiences of supporting the global effort to eradicate polio, and presented some special awards to those students who have earned the most Polio Points so far.

The following students received a Bronze Award, for earning in excess of 25 Polio Points: Tam Y7, Andrew Y8, Jeana Y8, Wonwoo Y8, Minjae Y8, Jackey Y8, Daisy Y9, Boom Boom Y9, Thomas Y10, Lily Y10 and Veleka Y13.

In addition, a special Silver Award went to Minjae, for achieving a fantastic 50 points so far, and saving over 12 children’s lives.
