School Update – Starts Academic Year 2017-18

September 19, 2017

Over the summer break in July and August, the Administrative team at both the Early Years campus the Windsor Park campus renovated and upgraded the buildings, playground and learning environments around the school to get ready for  the academic year 2017/8. The main changes were as follows:

At the Early Years campus, the school has relaid the floor of the main playground to make it safer and more beautiful; we built a small fence to separate the Pre-Nursery and Nursery areas from other learning spaces in the campus; we improved the floor on the covered walkway from the main building to the swimming pool to be softer and safer for our smallest children; we have also extended the covered walkway to the new drop-off point on the campus in order to ensure safety for the children and that the learning environments are conducive to learning and student well-being.

At the Windsor Park campus, we relaid and upgraded the floor of the sports centre; we rebuilt  the edge of the swimming pool to make it safer for our swimmers; in the Boarding Houses we renovated the 6th form students’ rooms and study areas at the Windsor House; we installed the canopy over the Primary playground area to give much needed shade to our students; we installed doors to the entrance to the DJ Building to prevent birds from getting into the building; we re-arranged the primary classrooms to support the class expansion to two-form entry this year; we decorated the Front Office and administration areas; we installed our ‘History Wall’ in the foyer area to educate our students and visitors about school’s history; and finally we decorated the stairs up to the library with quotes from renowned historical figures to inspire our students every time they climb the stairs.
