Students won Cambridge Outstanding Learner award

October 5, 2015

Another week has flown by! Our new Learning and Wellbeing committees have been finalised and are starting their important work related to both lessons and also the happiness of students at Bromsgrove. I look forward to meeting with the Student Executive committee in the next few weeks to discuss their ideas formally. We also had the wonderful news that two of our students last year have been awarded a Cambridge Outstanding Learner award for their outstanding external exams results : congratulations to both Kevin Henkens (Business Studies) and Jiachen Liu (Chinese). We are also very proud of Napat Absillis, a new member of Year 10, who has been chosen to receive a Cambridge Award for his result in Dutch iGCSE last academic year. These resounding academic successes give all Bromsgrove students a high level to which to aspire as they work towards their exams this year. I also enjoyed the Parent Consultations that took place on Friday. I was especially happy to see so many students attending the Learning and Progress conversations so that all stakeholders were involved: students, parents and teaching staff. It was also lovely to have the opportunity to speak to so many parents about the developments this year in the Secondary section and to hear their positive feedback about the creative and engaging learning which their children are experiencing across all subject areas.
