We had a fantastic 3 days of sporting competition at the Under 15 FOBISIA games held at the Bangkok’s landmark Rajamangala national stadium. The event saw schools from all over South East Asia competing against each other over 3 days in Athletics, Swimming, Football and Basketball. This was the first time that Bromsgrove International School Thailand (BIST) had entered this prestigious event and it proved to be a very successful and enjoyable occasion from start to finish.
Of all the schools competing, we won the most medals in the team games, finishing in the top 3 for every event: a tremendous achievement. In the Athletics, we achieved a total of 10 gold medals, 9 silver medals and 8 bronze medals. Again this was one of the highest medal tallies of any school there and enabled us to claim the silver medal overall for Athletics. In the Swimming, our boys claimed the team bronze medal, another fantastic achievement. In total, over the 3 days of sporting competition, BIST won medals in 75% of all events. A great achievement and a real testament to the talent and dedication of our students.
