It has been a very fun and successful time in boarding with boarders participating in all aspects of school life. From basketball to badminton, debating and cake making the children always have smiles on their faces as they proudly represent their houses and second home.

Our senior leaders have been exceptional, welcoming new students to the boarding houses, buddying up younger students and organising and enjoying many fun events such as the Halloween party and the family quiz night. We all enjoyed a special awards event so it has not been all work and no play. Special thanks must go to our family leaders and our Thursday Team Time leaders all who have worked hard and gained the respect of staff and pupils alike.

We welcomed many new boarders this year,  they coped extremely well with being away from home and loved ones, settled in very quickly and worked very hard to achieve some great results. I am extremely proud of the borders when they do so well and many are awarded certificates in assemblies.

House basketball and house futsal have both been fiercely contested and boarders often hone their skills with evening practices in the sports hall.  Thursday Team Time has also seen the boarders competing in dodgeball and handball and in our own Boardings Got Talent show. This was won by Jasmine and Ben singing accompanied by Jamie on the piano. There were many other notable entries, Kristen and Gaia have beautiful singing voices, Joanna starred with her performance on guitar and Zen tricked us all with his magic. The young boys in Windsor house are all whizzes on their Rubik cubes solving them in seconds rather than minutes.

This year has seen several boarders taking part in the International Award, paddle boarding and camping out overnight. All returned healthy and well and with a great sense of achievement. Boarders have been busy with Service and MUN and various sporting fixtures as well as Challenge week.

Weekends were busy with trips out to shopping malls,  Laser Quest, Bounce, Cartoon Network, Dream Life, Sea World, Virtual Reality and other such activity centers until the virus put a stop to them but as every cloud has a silver lining the boarders took to new activities on campus and learnt new skills such as cooking, cake decoration, photography, Zumba, calligraphy as well as getting out on a nature walk or a bike ride or an extremely contested game of dodgeball, basketball or badminton.  I am extremely proud of all that the boarders achieve, big or small and for the continued acts of kindness towards each other.

Of course the houses would not run so smoothly without our amazing house matron Miss M, Houseparents Mrs Powell and Mr TJ, and all the assistants, Natcha, Jess, Belle, Cece, Joe, Alex, Allen and Hady.
