On Monday 13th November, Bromsgrove International School hosted an exciting day of workshops with Musical Futures International, led by Mr Ken Owen (Australia) and Ms Anna Gower (UK).
Musical Futures is an organisation that works with teachers and schools to look at different ways to teach music to engage all students with music. In 2017 it was named among the first 10 of the 100 most innovative global education projects. In the last year Musical Futures International has worked with over 1000 teachers in Malaysia, Hong Kong, America, Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, The Middle East and are now on their first trip to Bangkok.
The workshops at Bromsgrove included “Everyone Can Play Ukulele” with Year 2, “Groove Your Classroom” and song-writing with Year 9, “Just Play!” with Year 5, “Find Your Voice” with Year 6 and “Informal Learning” with Year 8A.
