The last 2 weeks have been an incredibly busy time for the school and the sport and enrichment programmes are as busy as any. Whilst the TISAC football leagues continue, swimming has stolen the limelight a little. On 9 March, we took a team of KS3 swimmers to the TISAC swim meet at St John’s and performed really well, with first place finishes for three of our swimmers. Sun in year 8 was the standout performer, claiming 3 first place finishes. On 15 March, our primary swim team competed at the TISAC primary swim meet, a huge event hosted by Concordian International school. The competition was fierce and our swimmers performed very well against some very strong swimmers. And, of course, the BIST primary swim gala took place on 16 March. This was an outstanding event with all available students getting involved and again performing to a high level. The swimming awards will be distributed during an assembly to be confirmed in the last week of term. The biggest event of the past few weeks, however, was the FOBISIA U13 Games, hosted by St Stephen’s International School, here in Bangkok. We took a young team to compete in athletics, swimming, football and basketball, and, whilst we didn’t come away with as many medals as some schools, a large number of opposition coaches commented on the determination and positive attitude of our athletes. The boys who attended were a credit to the school.

ในช่วงสองสัปดาห์ที่ผ่านมา โรงเรียนของเราเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมต่างๆมากมาย ในส่วนของกีฬาและสันทนาการ นักกีฬาฟุตบอลและว่ายน้ำทีมโรงเรียนของเรา เข้าร่วมการแข่งกีฬา TISAC โดยทีมนักว่ายน้ำมีผลงานอันโดดเด่น วันที่ 9 มีนาคม ทีมนักว่ายน้ำระดับมัธยมปลายของเรา ไปร่วมการแข่งขันTISAC ประเภทกีฬาว่ายน้ำที่โรงเรียนนานาชาติเซนต์ จอห์น ซึ่งทีมนักกีฬาว่ายน้ำของเรา ซัน นักเรียนชั้นปีที่ 8 มีผลงานอันโดดเด่น ได้รับชัยชนะในสามประเภทการแข่งขัน วันที่ 15 มีนาคม ทีมนักกีฬาระดับประถม ไปร่วมการแข่งขันTISAC ประเภทกีฬาว่ายน้ำที่โรงเรียนนานาชาติคอนคอร์เดียน การแข่งขันเป็นไปอย่างเข้มข้น แต่นักกีฬาของเราต่างก็พยายามอย่างเต็มที่ในการแข่งขันกับนักว่ายน้ำผู้มากด้วยความสามารถจากโรงเรียนอื่นๆ ที่จะขาดไปไม่ได้ก็คือ การแข่งขันว่ายน้ำสวิมมิ่งกาล่าของโรงเรียนเรา เมื่อวันที่ 16 มีนาคมที่ผ่านมา การแข่งขันดังกล่าวเต็มไปด้วยความสนุกสนานโดยมีนักเรียนระดับประถมของเราเข้าร่วมการแข่งขันอย่างสุดความสามารถ สำหรับการมอบรางวัลว่ายน้ำดังกล่าวจะมีขึ้นในช่วงการประชุมนักเรียนในสัปดาห์สุดท้ายของภาคเรียน แต่การแข่งขันครั้งใหญ่ที่สุดในช่วงตลอดหลายสัปดาห์ที่ผ่านมานี้ คงหนีไม่พ้นกีฬาฟุตบอล FOBISIA ประเภทอายุต่ำกว่า 13 ปี ซึ่งจัดขึ้นในกรุงเทพฯ ที่โรงเรียนนานาชาติเซนต์สตีเฟ่นส์ โดยทีมนักกีฬาของเราเข้าร่วมการแข่งขันประเภทกรีฑา ว่ายน้ำ ฟุตบอล บาสเก็ตบอล แม้ว่านักกีฬาของเราจะไม่ได้เหรียญมากนักหากเปรียบเทียบกับโรงเรียนอื่นๆ แต่นักกีฬาของเราต่างก็ได้รับคำชมเชยจากโค้ชต่างโรงเรียนว่านักกีฬาของเรามีความตั้งใจและมีทัศนคติที่ดี ถือได้ว่านักกีฬาของเราที่ได้ไปร่วมการแข่งขันในครั้งนี้เป็นตัวแทนที่นำชื่อเสียงมาสู่โรงเรียน
