The students have come back refreshed after a well-needed rest. I am pleased to announce that we now have positions of middle-prefects, so that those in year 8 can take on a position of responsibility within the house. In the kitchens, food has really changed over the last few weeks, with country theme evenings on Thursday, more input from the students and a wider variety of options in the salad bar that have been very popular. This week we are collecting feedback from the students on the rewards and sanctions in the house. Next week, Ms Kharaz will be offering meditational yoga to the boarders on a Tuesday evening, which will really help relieve the stress of exams and the pressures of growing up. This half term, we wish a warm welcome to K. Un as Boys’ House Assistant and also Mr Goh as a resident from the BDST department. Before the holidays, we had a big trip to the Rock Domain in Bang Na, with the excellent guidance of Mr Lee from the Maths department (pictured). Over the holidays we took delivery of an electric grand piano donated from the music department, so our media room is now replete with a 55 inch TV, a piano and a Playstation to ensure the students can relax and be entertained.
นักเรียนกลับมาเรียนอย่างสดชื่นหลังจากได้หยุดพักในช่วงปิดกลางภาค ผมมีความยินดีที่จะประกาศว่าตอนนี้เรามีตำแหน่งพรีเฟ็คระดับมัธยมต้น เพื่อให้นักเรียนชั้นปีที่ 8 ได้มีส่วนรับผิดชอบภายในหอพัก ในส่วนของอาหาร เราได้มีการเปลี่ยนแปลงรายการอาหารจากการรับฟังความคิดเห็นนักเรียนในช่วงหลายสัปดาห์ที่ผ่านมา โดยมีธีมอาหารนานาชาติประเทศต่างๆทุกวันพฤหัสบดี พร้อมสลัดบาร์ที่เพิ่มความหลากหลายและเป็นที่นิยมมากขึ้นในหมู่นักเรียน สัปดาห์นี้เรากำลังรวบรวมข้อเสนอแนะจากนักเรียนเรื่องรางวัลและบทลงโทษต่างๆในหอพัก วันอังคารในสัปดาห์หน้ามิสอันนา คาราซจะมาสอนการฝึกสมาธิด้วยโยคะให้กับนักเรียนหอพัก ซึ่งหวังว่าจะช่วยให้นักเรียนได้ผ่อนคลายความเครียดจากการเรียนและลดแรงกดดันในการก้าวเข้าสู่วัยที่โตขึ้น หลังการเปิดเทอมกลางภาคเรียน ทางฝ่ายหอพักยินดีต้อนรับคุณอั๋น ในตำแหน่งผู้ช่วยหอพักชาย และมิสเตอร์โกห์ครูจากฝ่ายเกาหลีซึ่งจะมาพำนักประจำอยู่ที่หอพักชาย ในส่วนของกิจกรรมทัศนศึกษา มิสเตอร์ลี ครูสอนคณิตศาสตร์ได้นำนักเรียนหอพักได้ไปเที่ยวที่ร็อคโดเมน บางนา (ตามภาพ) ช่วงปิดภาคเรียนทางฝ่ายหอพักได้รับบริจาคแกรนด์เปียโนไฟฟ้าจากหมวดวิชาดนตรี ขณะนี้ห้องพักผ่อนประจำหอพักจึงเพียบพร้อมไปด้วย โทรทัศน์ 55 นิ้ว, เปียโนและเครื่องเล่นเกมส์เพลย์สเตชั่น เพื่อให้แน่ใจว่านักเรียนสามารถผ่อนคลายและได้รับความบันเทิงอย่างเต็มรูปแบบ
