Wednesday’s ‘Art & Design Workshops’ by three UK universities (Manchester Metropolitan University, Queen’s University Belfast, and University of Gloucestershire) were a great success. Eighteen of our most talented artists were given a taste of what it can be like to study creative subjects at university. Students tried their hand at urban sketching, and were given a crash course on creative thinking, whilst also gaining an understanding of the breadth of higher education options available in this field. The Hadley Art Studio was a fantastic venue, with one of our guests commenting that it was “like working in a West Coast gallery”.
