The 2017/18 Secondary academic year is now well underway and the atmosphere around school is one of positivity and enthusiasm. It has been wonderful to see all of our students returning to Bromsgrove after the summer holidays, ready to learn and get involved in all aspects of school life. I would also like to welcome all new students who have joined us in the Secondary phase and wish them well in their academic and extracurricular studies over the coming year.
We have many exciting events already taking place; our House Sports competitions have already started, our new Student Leadership Team, including the Head Boy and Head Girl, will soon be elected and our Basketball teams are already performing well in fixtures against other Bangkok school. ECAs have now been running for three weeks and I could not be prouder of the breadth of activities that our students can choose from; there are over 40 different clubs running all of which promote our Learner Profile and allow our students to engage, create or activate their passions. In addition, our annual Trashion Show has had a makeover this year, with each House choosing one of the Sustainable Development Goals and making a multimedia presentation to educate other students about their chosen SDG – less Trashion and more Trashucation. The presentations will take place on Friday 29 September at 0800 in the PAC and all Secondary parents are welcome to attend.
The year ahead promises to be outstanding and I look forward to sharing more news with you towards the end of the half term. Please do keep an eye on our website and Facebook page as we will be sharing photos and stories of students’ successes over the coming weeks.
