On Monday 21 September 2020, Bromsgrove International School held a Wai Kru ceremony that gave thanks to the teachers of the Academic Year 2020/21. It was presided over by the School Headmaster, Dr. Moore and the Head of Primary Mr. Jefferies. All the Primary Teachers and students participated in the ceremony that honored this noble Thai tradition, which was led by Thai department and held in the prestigious Performing Arts Centre, at the Windsor Park Campus.

โรงเรียนนานาชาติบรอมส์โกรฟ ได้จัดงานไหว้ครูขึ้นเมื่อวันจันทร์ที่ 21 กันยายน ที่ผ่านมา ที่อาคารศูนย์ศิลปะการแสดงโอเรียนตัลสยาม วิทยาเขตวินด์เซอร์ปาร์ค โดยมี ดร มัวร์ ครูใหญ่ และ มิสเตอร์เจฟเฟอรีส์ หัวหน้าแผนกประถมศึกษาเป็นประธานในพิธี
งานไหว้ครูในครั้งนี้ได้จัดขึ้นโดยภาควิชาภาษาไทย โดยครู นักเรียน และบุคลากร ของแผนกประถมศึกษาได้เข้าร่วมพิธีไหว้ครู ซึ่งถือเป็นธรรมเนียมปฏิบัติของไทยอันดีงาม เพื่อแสดงความขอบคุณและระลึกถึงพระคุณครู

During this week’s secondary assembly we congratulated our student leadership team on their appointments. They will be wearing their badges with pride as they serve our school community in their roles this academic year.

สำหรับการประชุมนักเรียนระดับชั้นมัธยมศึกษาในสัปดาห์นี้ พวกเราได้ร่วมกันแสดงความยินดีกับคณะผู้นำนักเรียนที่ได้รับการคัดเลือกในปีนี้ พวกเขาจะติดเข็มกลัดที่บ่งบอกถึงความเป็นผู้นำนักเรียนอย่างภาคภูมิใจและปฏิบัติหน้าที่เพื่อชุมชนบรอมส์โกรฟต่อไป

Year 6 have been busy making delicious Mexican dishes to support their learning of this term’s topic: Mexico. They demonstrated many aspects of our Learner Profile, working in teams to prepare and make quesadillas, chili, salsa, guacamole and cheesy nachos! They also demonstrated this week’s focus learner profile, independence, by following a recipe to ensure they completed each step. After cooking, the children created menus and learned new vocabulary to write descriptions to make your mouth water!

นักเรียนระดับชั้นปีที่ 6 ได้ช่วยกันทำอาหารเม็กซิกันเพื่อเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในหัวข้อการเรียนรู้เรื่อง ประเทศเม็กซิโก Mexico การทำอาหารครั้งนี้นักเรียนได้แสดงออกถึงหลากหลายคุณลักษณะของบรอมส์โกรฟ โดยพวกเขามีการทำงานร่วมกันเป็นทีม ช่วยกันเตรียมส่วนประกอบเพื่อทำอาหาร เช่น เคสซาทิญา (quesadillas) ซัลซ่า กัวกาโมเล และนาโชชีส นักเรียนยังแสดงออกถึงการรู้จักพึ่งพาตนเอง ซึ่งเป็นคุณลักษณะที่ทางโรงเรียนมุ่งเน้นให้ความสำคัญสำหรับสัปดาห์นี้ ซึ่งการรู้จักพึ่งพาตนเองที่นักเรียนได้แสดงออก เช่น การทำตามสูตรอาหารที่ครูเตรียมไว้ให้ด้วยตนเองทีละขั้นตอน หลังจากทำอาหารเสร็จ นักเรียนได้มีการจัดทำรายการอาหาร พร้อมๆไปกับการเรียนรู้คำศัพท์ใหม่ๆ เพื่อเขียนอธิบายอาหารจานนั้นๆ ให้รู้สึกน่าทานมากยิ่งขึ้นอีกด้วย
