Records are made to be broken, and the Secondary Sports Day 2020 didn’t disappoint!
Students were greeted in the morning by their first competitive event – a house warm up judged by the teachers. From there students split into the traditional track and field events which ran alongside the inclusive ‘challenges’. These challenges included activities such as a football shootout, a frisbee coconut shy, a golf putt and even a space hopper race! The final event, a house tug-of-war competition completed the day.
The final standings ended with Edwards winning, only a matter of 20 points behind Walters in second.
The athletics events saw a total of 29 records broken, some of which will stand for a long time!
Well done to all our students for their team work, and positivity.

An outstanding performance of “The Addams Family” had been a long time in the making. Originally scheduled for March, we were all thrilled to finally see the our incredible YMT students take to the stage. Congratulations to all involved!

One night a week, we run journaling sessions, which allows our students to write or draw their thoughts and feelings onto paper.
Journaling helps students to process their emotions, reduce stress and anxiety and relax after a busy day at school.
As a school community we were determined to come together to raise money for our house charities this term, despite the challenges in our way! Students have today taken part in a fancy dress fun run, contributed to the annual shoe box appeal and raised money by planning and playing some good old fashioned fairground games.

As ever our Sixth Form students acted as strong role models to our younger students today for our Charity Day Fun Run. The students decided to opt for the theme of ‘Cops and Robbers’ as a dress up for the Fun Run part of the day and this resulted in a highly entertaining chase around the track! Our wonderful Sixth Form students seem to have a never ending tank of enthusiasm and energy and afterwards set up charity stalls for all the community to take part in.

The Bromsgrove International School Thailand Primary KS2 Sports Day was a great opportunity for all students to take part in a house event and demonstrate their teamwork, determination and risk taking. After a fun warm up all students participated in a total of seven athletic activities, each gaining a medal for their certificate and points for their house. By the end of the morning a total of twenty records had been broken across all age groups. Ultimately, Walters House were victorious after a close points race between the three houses. Congratulations to all competitors and thank you to the teachers who made the day such a success.

Time to review and reflect on the days learning is an essential element of our boarding provision. Sixth Form students benefit from the opportunity to work collaboratively with fellow students in the evenings as they prepare for their mock exams. Each evening they are supported by members of the academic team and resident house staff to complete work in the calming setting of the Sixth Form Centre.
We are now accepting the Sixth Form Scholarship application. For further details, please contact our Admissions at admissions@bromsgrove.ac.th.

Year 3 have “bean” very busy investigating germination in Science! The pupils placed beans in different conditions relating to light, heat and water. They made predictions about which beans would germinate or not. The children then observed the beans every few days and recorded the results of what was happening in each bag. It became clear that beans cannot germinate without water and that the most important conditions for beans to germinate are water, heat and light. Some of the children even acted out the stages of bean germination! The pupils have now transferred the beans to soil and are hoping to watch the beans grow into full plants in our Bromsgrove garden. Wonderful Science in action from Year 3!

Earlier this term, Nama Year 7 participated in a Short Film Competition hosted by The National Institution for Child and Family Development (NICFD), Mahidol University.
